Candice E. Perkins is a creative writer and freelancer residing in both New Orleans and New York City.
A native of Southern Louisiana, Candice enjoys writing about food, travel, Louisiana culture, and film. She has a B.A. in English and is a graduate of the Master of Professional Writing program (MPW/MFA) at the University of Southern California. Candice is also an alum of VONA/Voices writing workshop. Her work has appeared in various publications, including espnW, New York Amsterdam News, Restaurant Business Magazine, and Pasadena Magazine. Her writing and voice talent has also been featured in ads for Clear Channel Communications and she has developed content for Scholastic Inc among other organizations.
Candice loves paper products, doodling, painting and drawing, and graphic design. In her spare time, she creates handmade thank you cards and other design crafts under her paper company Filigree Paper + Prints.
Recently, Candice completed her first book, a coming-of-age novel set in Spain. She is currently working on her second book project.
